Not sure how far west you are, but Sam's club sells them. They typically sell them flanken, but ring the bell at the butcher area and ask for the whole plate. Normally sold in a 2pk but I've also bought single racks.

This is or might be the 1st pellet from Traeger that is or "claims to be" 100% of a certain type of wood. But at $28 for a 20# bag I'll pass and stick with Lumberjack for more than 1/2 the price.

If it were me, I would split it stack it and store it. Typical time for seasoning wood is 18 mo. And check it then. Any "green wood" aka unseasoned will put off a acrid or dirty smoke.
