I'm using a brinkmann offset smoker. Ya and I never thought that it might be just the ambient air temp. Checked it this morning it was reading 75. Close to what it was outside. Thanks for advise
I just noticed my temp guage was right at 100°, and I don't have it fired up. I know stupid question I'm replacing it. Any recommendations for a good brand? And I have always wondered if I should add an extra guage closer to the grate. Is there a big temp difference?
I would go with a fairly heavy guage offset smoker. You can pretty much smoke and grill just about anything. Plus, they just look cool! I use brinkmann limited edition. Love it
