    Thanks I'm going to call them on Monday. Brand new smoker shouldn't have an issue like this. I haven't seen any other Lang owners having a problem.

    My 48 was delivered today and I started seasoning it right away. About an hour in I noticed paint chipping on the exterior of the fire box near the weld to the main chamber? Has anyone experienced this? I was so excited and now I'm nervous I got a bad egg.

    What does everyone use?  I can't seem to find nice, thin gloves for handling hot meat right off the cooker.

    Smoking Al you make a good point, it's just a ton of money. How do you like your 36? I have a 22.5 WSM now and I find myself running out of room even after utilizing both shelves. Was thinking about going with the Lang 48.
