Once I figured it out, it actually produced a pretty good tasting rack of ribs.
I had to run to the office, so when it was time to wrap, I put them in the oven to finish. Didn't really want to finish that way, but I couldn't be right here to babysit them.

My uncle gave me a nearly new Pit Boss vertical electric smoker the other day. It's the one you can get at WalMart for $200.
He only used it twice but couldn't get the temp right and doesn't want to mess with it.
So I figured he was just not following the instructions, and fired it...
It turned out really good.
Went on the smoke for 4 hours, and then in the oven at 325. Not sure how long it was in the oven. Pulled it out when it got to temp. Was probably another 3.5 to 4 hours. Mixed some of the juice back in. Very tasty.

I've got my very first one on the smoker now. I figure to go with 4 hours in the smoke and then wrapped with no smoke until it reaches the desired temp of between 195 and 200.
Is it cheating putting it in the oven to finish?
