    He also used acetone to prep the metal on the inside of the door before painting it, this gonna be an issue?

    Don't know why he did it...but he did. Is this safe? It's 1200 degree BBQ paint. I don't smell anything weird (I'm just burning a fire not cooking). Should I worry about it?

    It's a hole in the bottom of the drum that you control the opening with your foot via a lever that sticks out from the bottom of the drum.

    My new toy! Peoria Custom Cookers 24x48 Backyard

    Got my peoria 24x48 backyard model on a trailer! A couple questions: 1) I had a hard time keeping the temp down. I have 2 x 2 1/2 x 14" hickory splits and had a hard time keeping a coal bed only throwing one of these on every 30 minutes. Suggestions? I had both stacks wide open. 2) Do you think...

    Won't matter if the drippings from the food hit the plates and then vaporize correct? Probably overthinking this but don't want anyone to get sick.

    My buddy who made them cleaned them with a degreaser. I think if I spray em with PAM and season they'll be good to go.
