Am what is often referred to as a NOOB haha and am looking for advice on first use and things to avoid. Instructions with the smoker I got as a present are to oil everything apart from the charcoal pan (kind of obvious) but have read elsewhere you should 'Season the smoker' So help would be...- notavaper

Making Smoked Salmon
I have a very firm idea of what I want to achieve, Starting with I don't want to use a brine and I want to end up with a smoked salmon similar to what you can buy in the shop, I accept there will be a varying degree to result achieved but any help would be appreciated especially things to avoid. -

Hi all, I am in the uk and have just been bought a smoker by my mum for my birthday, I mentioned it once that I would like to make my own smoked salmon am well chuffed with it but am yet to use it. I choose the name of NotaVaper as a bit off a joke hope everyone gets it :)
