    Favorite Beer

I'm generally drinking what I have on tap. Currently I have a Brett Saison, Centennial IPA (using my homegrown hops), a rauchbier, and a cream ale. I have a mini fridge stocked with random stuff. Usually Sierra Nevada's Pale ale, and Miller Lite can always be found in there.

    Smoked Pumpkin Seeds

From most of the research I did, sitting overnight in brine was also an option but most folks did the boil thing and had great results. Everyone will be a fan!!

    Smoked Pumpkin Seeds

Carved a few pumpkins with the kids and decided to take a stab at throwing the leftover seeds in the smoker. I have to admit they turned out pretty good. After cleaning I boiled them for 10 minutes in salt water. Dried lightly and added some salt, pepper, cayenne, and a little garlic powder...

Safe to use electric smoker on porch?

The hottest part I've found on my 30" Masterbuilt has been the glass up front. I have aluminum siding and it sits maybe 8" from it, I couldn't feel a temp change.

    First smoke a success!

Fortunately we did have some standard cold sides so it wasn't a total loss by any means. I think next time I'll finish the taters in the smoker with the cheese and bacon on them. I've always been a big griller but this smoking thing is addictive!!!

    First smoke a success!

Second run turned out pretty nice. Chicken legs were pretty awesome but the baked potatoes didn't get quite done, will definitely wrap next time. Legs were half dry rubbed and the other have were basted with honey mustard. Wife, mom, and kids all loved it. Cheers to a smokey Sunday!
