Are the Wooden Scrapers any good for properly cleaning you grill? Or a waste of money?

Are all of these wooden grill scrapers that I see any good? The ones where you have to used your heated grates to burn grooves in them? Trying to find the safest thing for my Char-Griller with porcelain covered iron grates. Advice please on your experiences with this type cleaner, or one you...

    The Continuous Reverse Sear Thread!

Well my 2nd attempt at reverse sear was a huge success!! Sorry for the lack of pics. I smoked at about 220 this time with a mix of hickory & cherry, took the steak to an IT of around 140, then seared it a minute on each side, turning it halfway through on each side for good sear marks. I...

Right, but I read somewhere on here that it was best that it should be above the intake level. AKA the chip dumper, so I tried it that way. The AMPNS only burned one row in a 5 hour period, it was basically out by the time I pulled the ribs out of the smoker. But I checked off & on, must have...

Separating the men from the boys tomorrow, 1st attempt at Baby Back Ribs!! Qview to follow tomorrow.

Sorry for the late update folks. And C Farmer, my MES is a Gen 1.  OMFG....my 1st attempt at baby backs ROCKED!! I left them in the smoker for about 5 hours straight, no foil, no spraying, etc. Cooked around 225 to 235. Good crust, awesome taste, slight tug from the bone just the way I like them!!
