Just picked up some wood the other day and am concerned on the quality of it for smoking. I'm use to using chunks so this is the first time I'm getting full splits. Purchased a mix of hickory and apple. Was told they both were split about a year ago. Not all the splits look like this but...
Guys I have a bunch of wood chunks mostly oak and maple but there are some pieces of cherry mixed in. I can meet as long as it within a reasonable distance.

Hmm, never thought of that. Fruits are small, un edible still. Have flowers on the others I can pinch off. I assume they will still grow a little no?

So, in preparation for my new smoker purchase I have been wondering where everyone keeps their smokers? I'm not talking the cheapo offsets, I mean the big boys. Where does one keep a smoker that clocks in at over 1000 pounds. I currently have my chargriller on a concrete slab that is 4.6'x5x5".
Talked to Paul last night to get the wheels turning in the build. I'm still a couple months out from him even starting it. Hopefully by September I'll have a new smoker. Went w a 48" with the wagon wheels and a warmer box. Excited!
