    Question on sausage stuffers

I have the Hakka 7lb sausage stuffer. Overall, I really like it but a lot of meat gets stuck in the elbow when the plate goes all the way down. That results in losing about 2-3 sausages worth of meat. Yes, I can turn it into patties, which is what I do, but I was wondering if the other...

    Auber Circulation Fan for Smokin-it

Has anyone ever tried the Auber Circulation fan in their smoker? I would like to be able to make Meat chips and jerky in my smoker but feel like it needs airflow. I don't want to buy a dehydrator. I was wonder if the Auber circulation fan would do the trick. I've seen that jerky cap for...

    Smokin-it 3 analog vs 3D Wi-Fi

@801driver Thank you. The reason I am looking for PID is because I am looking to do sausage and cheese in this smoker. I have no plans to use it for brisket or other BBQ. For that I have a recteq and a Kamado Joe Classic series 3. When it comes to my other cooks, I agree, the temperature...

    Smokin-it 3 analog vs 3D Wi-Fi

@Dave in AZ Thank you for your honesty. After looking at that company, I still like the Smokin-It better.. I like the Wi-Fi feature and the wheels seem bigger. Nice to know the company is easy to deal with

    Smokin-it 3 analog vs 3D Wi-Fi

Thank you. I hadn’t heard about that company. I believe in supporting local so if that‘s true and price is good, I’d rather put my money in US company

    Smokin-it 3 analog vs 3D Wi-Fi

Ok, based on what I’ve read here and the warranty, I’ve narrowed down my choice for an electric smoker to a Smokin-it model. Now I need help. Should I get the model 3 analog and add an auber pid controller or should I just get the 3d Wi-Fi version. Pros and cons for both ways please

    Pit Boss Vs Traeger

I had an Austin XL for years before I upgraded to the recteq 790. The pit boss is very good and they stand behind the warranty. I had the controller go out from rain and they replaced it. It’s still going strong at my sons house. As far as trader, my sister has one and I’d say the pit boss...

Help purchasing new smoker. Smokin-it vs Bradley

Ok everyone. Looking for an electric smoker for making sausage (and possibly cheese). I don’t care about high temp because I already have a Kamado Joe series 3 classic and a RecTeq 700. I want a good smoker that will last a while and has excellent temp control. I live in south Florida so...

    Dry Milk and Soy Powder

Thank you. That is really helpful. So basically, it helps retain the fat and makes it juicer. I take it this is why my hot dogs have been a little drier than I want. They werent bad but I feel like they could be a little better. I wonder if using a Milk Protein Isolate protein...

Looking for a new smoker for sausage

Thank you. I figured electric was best but wanted to make sure. I almost bought a outposts because in store it says it goes down to 130degrees but online everyone says 170. Can you recommend a good electric smoker, around $600 or less? Only thing I see by me are masterbuilt.
