  • I'm a newbie hear, I ordered a rt-590 today. I grill and smoke all Winter,here in Michigan. I would like to know what size welder blanket You, started with. I really like the idea. Are the vent covers from Rec-Tec?.......Thanks Bluebiller

    Hello welcome aboard. I used this blanket to cover my 590. I did purchase the all season vent covers and cut out around them and used foil tape to keep the material from shredding. Taped up any other cuts that were made also. Use heavy magnets (harbor freight) to hold in place.

    as You, can see ,I'm new here, I have had to rap smokers in the past with oud quilts,but had to stay close because of fire concerns. I like the welder blanket , with the right size I can make it fit. Thanks for the info.......Bluebiller
    Seasoned smoker here with several years experience learning to master the pit. I have prior ownership experience on Masterbilt Electric smoker and a Weber Performer. My current rig is a RecTec Stampede pellet grill.

    I purchased a HOLLOW SMOKER GRILL mod/ser # 2050104339 about 1 year ago. it worked fairly well till recently when I tried to take it apart to clean. the screws were rusted in place ..could not loosen to clean burner so I had to discarded it. I'm dissatisfied that I only got 1 years use out of it. TABLE TOP GRILL 205 FM205 TWA11648
