I have an Akorn too, only for a few weeks. I've done ribs twice, steaks and pizza. I'm impressed how well it holds temps, and how little charcoal it uses.
Well, I took modest bites. My first smoke today, baby back ribs on an Akorn. And baked beans there too. It was all good, it can stand improvement, but my first smoke was a success. (No applause, thank you)
