Thanks for all the info guys! I saw a an MES40 on Facebook last night that the person just didn't want to finish assembling for $99 - unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to message her before someone else snagged it.
Question - someone from Smoke Hollow did get back to me and said that they've...
I've had a Smoke Hollow 26142E for almost 4 years and I discovered yesterday that the heating element no longer works. It seems like if I go to the manufacturer, they want $30 for the heating element and another $30 for a new temperature controller - and it'd take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to...
I'm going to just season them using Fox Bros BBQ Rub (pic is attached) and stick them in the fridge overnight. I've decided to smoke them on my new Camp Chef SE Pellet Grill instead of my Smoke Hollow smoker. I'm planning to smoke them until they reach around 165 then put them in a disposable...
I'm doing some on Friday - they are thawing today and I will season them on Thursday and let them sit overnight in the fridge before I smoke them.
Did you only use rub or did you use anything like apple cider vinegar so they'd tenderize and/or mustard to keep the rub on the meat?
Sorry it's been a few days! Just an update:
My first cook on it was a couple of New York Strips, package of Chicken Tender Breasts, and some grilled veggies! They all turned out great!
The very next night - Christmas Eve - was more NY Strips and grilled veggies - again they all turned out...
The legs got here today! They shipped them Fed-Ex 2 Day on Wednesday. We got home a little after 10 tonight so of course there was no way I was going to wait until a decent hour or daylight. Fully assembled in the garage in about an hour and ready for the break-in this weekend. Now I just have...
I waited most of the day for my Camp Chef SmokePro SE to arrive after finally finding one at a decent price. I had the FedEx guy wheel the box into the garage and immediately went to work. I followed the instructions but the legs looked like they were at a weird angle - when I tried to put the...
Normally I do pork ribs but I found a good deal on some beef ribs today and picked them up. I have a Smoke Hollow Electric Smoker and for pork ribs I usually do 2-2-1. Would I do the same for beef ribs?
Hello everyone! Thanks for helping me get started a few weeks ago with my smoker!! I've had three very successful smoking events and since it's not truly December weather yet - going to get another 1 or 2 in. I have the Smoke Hollow 26142E 26-inch Electric Smoker which came with two cooking...
Thanks for the great info!!! Does anyone have a link to the tube that I’d need - just to make sure I get the right one?
Also I want to get this prepped maybe tomorrow. The before first use says to coat the interior of the unit with oil and let it run for a couple of hours. I’m assuming that I’m...
My wife bought me the Smoke Hollow 26142E 26-inch Electric Smoker as a gift and I just got it put together last night. I found this forum looking for tips on how to get started with it so that hopefully I can make some decent meats with it out of the gate.
I'm all about making my cooking easier...
