Ok first off never smoked didnt grill much...Bought a char griller pro a few years ago never used it until now..Ok so i did all the usual mods.. so i went to cure it ..I used a half bag of kingsford minion method in my custom made charcoal box thats 3 inches off from the bottom good air...
one more question after i pop out the football looking hole when i install the baffle im going to go back in and cover the top part up to allow the smoke and heat to travel lower?
Ok i posted a pic of someone elses mods .My question is why take your baffle down and then at an angle over the tuning plate (as seen in photo)..could i just take a piece of flashing and mount it to the side and meet it at the tuning plate or just a hair below it to push the smoke up and under...
i bought a new char griller smoker and side firebox and put it together ..What i am confused about is that where you connect the smokebox to the grill is no cutouts to send the smoke thru ..only thing there is butterfly openings ..am i suppose to cut that out and make it bigger or should i do...
