I did some snooping around and didn't find a firepot that would adfapt to the MAK design. Not saying it couldn't be done but it appears someone with some pretty good metal working skills and tools could make that work. Thanks again.

I'm not giving up but I think I see the writing on the wall. Thus I think I'll start looking for a replacement that fits my families needs. In the mean time what do I do with the MAK if I can't fix it? One thought was to remove all working parts and sell them then use the carcass for cold smoker...
Now thats a great observation. Considering there are many on this forum who have the MAK grill and are facing or perhaps will later have this same problem getting a group buy going and fixing what needs fixin or stocking up on a spare part like an ignitor that will fail at some point as a spare...
I get the payment concern as I feel the same. One thing to consider if the part is available, I am open to purchasing a gift card credit card for said amount of the purchase cost. One time use and you are not giving up any information. My $0.02

The YODERS are an awesome machine. If and when I replace the MAK one factor with be stability of the manufacturer. It's plain BS the spend that kind of funds for a grill then the manufacturer doesn't provide a path forward for past customers to keep the units going.
