Any I'm looking for a source for the MAK 2 Star General ceramic ignitor

I did some snooping around and didn't find a firepot that would adfapt to the MAK design. Not saying it couldn't be done but it appears someone with some pretty good metal working skills and tools could make that work. Thanks again. I had thought about doing that but the last several days...

Interesting thought. I've look at several but was simply looking for a direct replacement. I do some research and see what might work. Thanks

I'm not giving up but I think I see the writing on the wall. Thus I think I'll start looking for a replacement that fits my families needs. In the mean time what do I do with the MAK if I can't fix it? One thought was to remove all working parts and sell them then use the carcass for cold smoker...

Now thats a great observation. Considering there are many on this forum who have the MAK grill and are facing or perhaps will later have this same problem getting a group buy going and fixing what needs fixin or stocking up on a spare part like an ignitor that will fail at some point as a spare...

I get the payment concern as I feel the same. One thing to consider if the part is available, I am open to purchasing a gift card credit card for said amount of the purchase cost. One time use and you are not giving up any information. My $0.02

WOW akjeff. That does look and specs out like the MAK ignitor. Now to source it. If I find a place it will be posted here for sure. I'm a looking forward to you hearing back from Grill Parts America. Thanks again. You have no idea how relieved I am to know it just MAY be an item I can still get.

The YODERS are an awesome machine. If and when I replace the MAK one factor with be stability of the manufacturer. It's plain BS the spend that kind of funds for a grill then the manufacturer doesn't provide a path forward for past customers to keep the units going.

I'm not to sure of the 12v idea. Looking at the photos on Amazon they indicate 120V. I admit a quick glance and I can see someone thinking it is 12V.

That sucks about LS: I guess I won't be contacting them today as planned. Really none of my busiess but have you considered RecTeq? The only information I have on them is my SIL and daughter have one and it performs as good if not better than my MAK. RecTeq also has a new model out that can get...
