Yeah my smoker plans will need to be put on hold I only have a little hobbie welder 110v I don't think it will have enough amps to weld that think of metal
I have a 500 gal old propane tank. I want to use part of for a smoker besides opening all the plugs to atmosphere and maybe rinsing it what other ways or steps should I do to get rid of old propane gas from the tank before cutting? Also how long should I leave it open to atmosphere.

Good day the place I work at has an old 60 gallon air compressor tank laying around and I was thinking about turning it into a reverse flow stick burner. Would the tank thickness be to thin and save my time and find a propane tank.

Fellow Canadian here also i just finished my fridge smoker, i replaced my insulation with roxul from home depot i used about half a bundle it was rated for stupid flame resistance i felt little better that way, i bought a pellet hopper assembly at smoke daddy inc the exchange and shipping sucks...
That's awesome that you don't have to open it means keep the heat in I have a small broil king charcoal smoker it's a 2 door smoker one door on top is access to the meat and water dish and second is to the fire so if I open either one to add more water or what ever I loose that heat I'm adding a...
@slapaho_injun yeah I used 1/4" rolled steel to help with the bending I did around the outside then one bar down the middle. Have you found your smoke insulates to well? I read where guys have had that issue
