    Brinkmann sidewinder

Interesting. Maybe this is a second model of the longhorn. The original one didn’t have the door skirts, and had a wider area between the sides and the door. I would be interested in seeing that catalog.

    Brinkmann sidewinder

that’s not a longhorn. The longhorn didn’t have the door skirts and it has wider sides around the door. I would say it’s a Stillwater but it looks bigger and the Stillwater doesn’t have a warming plate on the fire box. There is very little information online about this era of smokers. Maybe it...

    Brinkmann stillwater

I recently picked up an old Brinkmann Stillwater off of FB for 100 bucks. I feel like a thief for that price. This thing is in great condition besides a little bit of rust. I’m restoring it and started a YouTube series if anyone’s interested. First video- Second video- Does anyone still...

Can anyone identify my old-school Brinkmann offset Smoker? (Before and after photos included)

That is a Brinkmann Cimarron. Built by roger Davidson of horizon smokers after he and his brother sold Oklahoma Joe. Im restoring a Stillwater currently. It’s essentially the same exact smoker but with a Lowe shelf and door skirts.

    Brinkmann sidewinder

I’ve never heard of the sidewinder. I have a Stillwater which sounds kind of like it. Do you have a picture?

Recently aquired a Brinkmann Stillwater and have a couple questions

I just picked one up a few days ago. Did you ever figure out the convection plate situation? I feel like the horizon one should work. Especially seeming as how both smokers were designed by the same person.

    Tips for seasoning

Update: I've found that putting wood in about to use in my propane grill (on the top shelve) for an hour or two at 500 degrees makes it dry as hell.

    Need opinion for cold weather

I need your opinions, and discussion. I love my horizontal offset, but it's a cheap thin metal model. It won't keep temp in colder weather. To keep me smoking through the winter, I want to find something else. So, the question. Should I get a dyna-glo vertical offset, Oklahoma joe bandera, Weber...
