Looking for help identifying wood species
I can across what I believe to be a species of maple but looking on line the bark looks different. If anyone has any idea if it will be ok for the smoker I'd appreciate the advice. Thanks fellas- deere317

The only things I would change on mine would be adding a channel iron valley in the center of the RF Plate to direct the grease to the drain and making the plate out of 1/4. I got a great deal on plate but it was ar500 and the 3/16 I used for the RF warped a little the 1/4 for the fire box is...- deere317

Finally Done
I cut the end of the tank bell from the top of the tank to the top of the firebox. I can't remember off hand what size opening I cut in the square stock for the flue but it was whatever the smoker calculator suggested.
