I've been happily using my IHT-1P for quite a while now. Yesterday it showed "Lo" when I opened it to check temps on some sourdough bread I was proofing. As rare as Bigfoot in some regions...you're lucky to have sighted and bagged the beast. Great story, lots of fun to read. :) Makes me think I'm going to have to go grab a couple some time this week...always a family favorite. -
New to beef ribs - what's your favorite beef rib rub?
Things ended up OK, using Jeff's Texas style rub. Don't have a great pic as we were starved when they were ready and dug in w/out thinking of beauty pic. :) They were/are excellent. Wrapping time, about 3 hours in: Total hours were about 6. Leftovers below...this pic was fresh from the... -

Thanks very much for the suggestions. My son made an executive decision last night and went w/Jeff's Texas style rub, which he liked on a smoke we did the other day. Took the ball out of a dithering father's hands and ran with it. ;-) I've realized one thing - I'm not sure what IT to use to... -

I like pics too, but the smoke finished really late (10:30 I think?) due to some unexpected logistics yesterday, so they fish went into vaccuum packs (or to my neighbor's stomach) w/out any pics. They actually weren't the prettiest salmon smoke I've done, but everyone so far says they like it... -

Assume you got the Wi-Fi version? WSD-1500H-W? If so, were you able to connect the PID to your Wi-Fi network (When it's connected the Wi-Fi light goes solid blue on the PID display, bottom left). Or is it connected to your Wi-Fi and you don't see it or can't connect to it in the app?
