That looks incredible. I smoked (and ate) my first Try Tip ever today. Man I am a huge fan!!! I have been known to screw up briskets, but this was fantastic.
I know this is a forum for smokers, but my recent salmon smoking (awesome) has me carving grilled salmon. Anyone have a good recipe There's tons online, but I trust you guys more due to other advice I have received on the forums...
I have the new MES and the tray does not fit next to the element. I put it on the first rack. Amazen recommends no water in the tray, but isn't it important to keep the meat from drying out?
I have the TP-20 as well and used it on my first two smokes...Salmon and Boston Butt. Ribs are next for me, but most recipes call for the 2-2-1 or 3-2-1 method, as they say measuring rib temperature is difficult. Where did you place the probe? I am sold on this TP-20, never having used...
This was my third attempt at smoking anything...Did a Brisket and Salmon previously, and the recipe was fantastic. Took longer than I thought for a 5 1/2 pound Boston Butt (13 hours), but well worth it. Thanks for the recipe!
