These are early girls.... they usually go up tall but this year they didn't but started producing quick..... I've had 5-6 ripe ones so far...this one was consumed last night! Gonna have like 15-20 or so more in a few days!

Well, your "morning look" is exactly what I wanted.....Ie the illusion of a floating roof. I could have used larger members and spread them out but wanted that sleek look so very tight spacing and multiple block outs for the span. The "side trusses" will have a vertical support member as well...
They have all kinds of "widths" and gauge thickness depending on look and loading. Typically, they span 2 feet, but that depends on slope and snow load. I forget but I roughly calced out 30 psf snow load for the member size and spacing. IE the required loading for a non-occupied storage shed...
