How Bad is Supermarket Beef, Really?

Wow what a good video! Here in Canada, supermarkets have been famous for the Rename of a cut of beef so that they can charge more money. Unless, you look at it in the package closely sometimes you cannot tell. As for the rolled roast (the one with the fat tied on with the string-not...

Heavy rainy weekend = Pickle time Sept 2026

Thank for the post on the pickles. The last time I tried to make a sweet/hot pickle they were soggy. I never knew (nor does any of these pickling supply sites said) not to get the water over 180 deg. I guess that is why grandma never water bathed pickles. Very hot brine and scorching hot jars.

    Ham sausage

That looks awesome. I have a question...did you smoke until you got the color you wanted then finished in the oven, or was it all done in the smoker?

My Birthday Gift was a new Halo Griddle...Hubby converted it to LNG for me (hate running to refill propane) All Videos and forums saying griddle runs at 500 deg Plus. Wow..chow could burn quickly at that rate. Seasoned the griddle as per instructions, fired up and warmed up on low, after 10...

    lets talk coffee grinders

I have a Cuisinart Burr grinder.....JUNK!!! It will not grind at the fine setting. No matter what you choose it is a very course grind. It would overheat after grinding a 1/2 pound of beans. After multiple calls and emails to the manufacturer. They send me an email with an attachment on...

    Beef Cost is Unreal!

meat prices have been a racket around here for years, or should I say racketeering. We use to have one grocer-large chain, change the name of the beef cut. Example take a bottom round roast and label it top sirloin, and charge the sirloin price. Sneaky, very sneaky. When you point it out to...

    MAK 2 Star oddity

don't count out that you have a bad GFI. We did a kitchen remodel and the electrician had to install GFI plugs (law). Went on vacation and GFI tripped where I plugged in the toaster. Thought is was the toaster-or the cats fooling with it when I was gone. Left everything unplugged from that...

    Walmart+ and Walmart Problems

Wow doesn't even begin to describe your situation. These companies play up their delivery service like it is a great benefit to their customers. Turns out...they don't care if you get your delivery or not. Walmart up here in the great white north is no better....a young lady with a toddler...

Which method do you use to pay monthly bills?

on-line banking. I just sit back and watch the city tax dept, utility companies and the insurance companies CLAW the money out of my account. LOL Everyday there is a new offer for a new card with mega points....that get you virtually nothing. You need to accumulate 3 billion points to get a...
