Yeah RANDYA, the firebox to smoker opening IS very small. I constructed it not realizing it had to be a certain size. I am going to add in 2 more pipes to get the right size.

I think I have a lead on some 8 inch diameter pipe, and might just use 13 inches of that for the stack (according to the smoker ratio calculator). ANY objections? haha.

1) if the smoke stack calculator reads a 5inch diameter pipe needs to be 32 inches for my smoker, could I have 2 5inch diameter pipes @ 16 inches long (side by side) instead?

ok the bbq pit calculator says I need101 square inches of firebox to cook chamber opening... i just installed my 7 inch diameter pipe yesterday connecting the 2 (in my head thinking it would be ok). Can I put some extra peices of pipe between the 2 to increase the opening?
