Weekend Ribs

yeah, it's my meat probe I was using as a second thermo for my cooking chamber. I put it on top of the meat while cooking. Off to the side for the pictures. -

First Tri tip on the Smoker
It was great, our favorite cook so far. I did a Santa Maria style rub with rosemary and oregano. 225 for 2 1/2 hours. Internal temp was around 145. -

Newbie to the Smoking Que world
Hey All, Bmac from La Quinta, CA over here. Just got a brinkmann offset starter smoker and I'm obsessed. Just did my 3rd cook this last weekend with a tri-tip. Looking forward to getting some great info from you guys. Pictures are below of my Santa maria style tri-tip. -
