Is that the same gasket that is used around the firebox door? How is it working for you? I bought a Smoke Canyon vertical smoker, and the firebox needs a gasket as there is a gap that is letting out heat on mine. I bought the kit from bbq gaskets place, but wasn't sure if the gasket would be okay and not burn being so close to the fire!

It seems to be ok but I probably need to inspect it as my door gasket is toast.
