This project was started for 1 reason. To have better control of temperature fluctuation. The idea was to have an adjustable heat source similar to the flame on a gas range top. Using the dimmer, the heating element has an infinite range and can be adjusted to stay on continually while maintaining the desired temperature of the smoker.
It functions as planned and the results in the quality of the smoked foods is evidence of better temperature control.
The original electronics continue to function as designed. The element continues to turn on and off at set temps.
The smoke generator that is standard issue should be replaced with the A-MAZE-N smoke generator or a reasonable facsimile to produce a quality smoke.
