Hey all, I'm new here and glad to have access to all the knowledge. I just got my second smoker a Masterbuilt Thermotemp gas smoker to replace my old brinkman electric.

Welcome, Scot! As you've seen, there is a wealth of knowledge here that I've not found anywhere else. The people are friendly, always willing to help, and even more willing to share their opinions :).

While the basic principals are the same between your old electric and your new gasser, you'll find that you get slightly different results and you may need to adjust your processes just a bit. But after a cook or two, you'll know your new smoker and be putting out some great smoked goodies (which we MUST see pictures of).

Let us know if you have any questions.
