Hey y'all,

I recently purchased a bunch of random things on amazon and some of it was delivered today. One of the items I threw in at the last minute was these bear paw claws.

Bear paw claws

Now I'm no expert at tearing apart the pork butt when it's done smoking (I only smoke it, the wife handles it when it's pulled off the smoker) but I'm wondering if these are helpful or a waste of money?

I wanted to buy the wife some gloves to help her break the shoulder down but when I found these she thought they'd be better than the gloves, so I ordered them.

I can tell you they are very sharp just from handling them. If assume they'll do a pretty good job at pulling the meat apart. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them (good or bad).

I also received my first maverick (et-733) in this amazon box. I've had great results with the igrill I bought a year or two ago but with 2 grills, and 2 smokers I needed to add another thermo to my collection. Can't wait to try it out!

Now I'm just waiting on the pressure cooker/smoker I bought with all this to be delivered! Have to say outta everything that's the one item I ordered I'm most interested in!

Thanks for any info y'all have on these bear claws or any other tools or household kitchen items you use to pull your pork butts apart.

Your wife is going to really like those

They are pretty good, but personally I like meat rakes a little better.  Meat rakes have handles that are easier to hold an use than the bear paws.  Just my 2 cents.  Found the rakes on-line.
