Some of you may remember my MacGuyver post a while back from when I was smoking a 9lb shoulder and found out that morning that the element in my Brinkmann electric smoker had burned out.  I improvised by setting the smoker body on top of my Weber Smokey Joe.  12 hours later it worked out really well as I had plenty of good tasting pork.  I never did buy a new element so today I fired up the same setup to do a yard bird.  We had a bunch in the chest freezer because my wife can't resist picking them up at the grocery store when the price dips below $0.70 a pound or so.  Since there were a few disbelievers the first time around here are the pics to prove it with Q-View coming soon:

gotta love it.  Looks like a solution to me. Hope everything turned out good

Great Improvising!

We used to call that "Field Expediency"

Can't wait for the Qview!!!
