Hello all, here is my first brisket. Take a look and let me know what you think or if you have any recommendations.

Here is the raw deal (pretty good deal $1.52 per lb).

I then put it in a trashbag with Dr. Pepper and let it sit over night. Afterwards I used a package of Uncle Kinkles instant marinade (I think that is what it was called, I forgot to write it down).

After that I put in my Bradley Smoker with Hickory. I used a digital thermometer to get it to 185.

Then I wrapped it in foil and then a couple of old towels. Placed it in a small cooler and let it work its magic for 4 more hours. Here is the finished product flat sliced and point pulled.

I found that it is hard to pull. Not the meat, it was quite tender. The fork that I was using kept going into my mouth for some reason and I couldn't make it quit.

Thanks for viewing and let me know if you have any ideas for my next one!!!

Very Impressive...but, NEVER use a trashbag!!!! I can't stress that enough....most trashbags have insecticides in them!!!!! Other than that....Way ta go!!!
