Hey y'all, I'm excited to have stumbled on to this forum. I'm from Texas and am currently living in nc. I never thought I'd be so into bbq and general meat smoking but being away from my own state (going on 10 years now) I've had to learn some tricks to cure my homesickness. Looking forward to hearing from all y'all!

TroutMouth, welcome to SMF! We don't mind at all being stumbled upon or tripped over, as long as it leads to some great smoked meat. I married a Texan and got into smoking much like you; missing what I tasted in Texas.

Have fun!

Ray

Welcome from SC. It's really good to have you here on this great site. It's also good to have you in true BBQ land. Here we know that cows are for milking and pigs are for smoking.

Good luck and good smoking, Joe. :grilling_smilie:

You poor, lost son of a gun--just like me! If you have Costco in close proximity, see if they're carrying brisket, as some don't. Best fix for the addiction out there. Welcome aboard!

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum from a nice sunny day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web.                              Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.

Just click your heals and say "There's No Place Like Home"
