Hey everyone,

I have been using the forum for days now researching what electric smoker to buy.  

thanks to everyones great advice, helpand tips i finally landed on MES 30 Bluetooth from Bass Pro which included a cover, stand and gloves... 

I'm in Ontario Canada.... Tiny township to be exact...

So looking forward to trying my first smoke tomorrow ... doing about 30 drumsticks. 

 

Great forum and i look forward to adding my own two cents ...

Welcome to the site Boyler and congratulations on getting your new smoker.

 

I wasn't sure from your talk about Tiny whether it was the name of the township or if it was a tiny place.  Googled it.  Nice looking area.

I've just put them in... so far so good...

 

Question though, do i need water in the pan for drumsticks?  I did put in some cider beer and a bit of water.... but do i need it?

Your going to get a bunch of answers on this, but I always use water. I also have a layer of lava rock on the bottom of the pan.

Welcome from SC. It's good to have you on this great site. I am a stick burner, so I can't help you with your question, but believe me you will have a ton of electric guys who will chime in.

Looking forward to trying many recipes.. I want to try ribs next so I'm looking for some info or help as to what my best approach is on this!
