 Its my pleasure. I messed with bread for over a year and I was just affraid of it. I was trying to duplicate my grandma's rolls which everyone that ever had one loved them. I was doing it half-assed thinking it would be a nice thing and Mom and Dad would appreciate it.

 

They do and did.

 

Bread is like smoking, its so simple, just time consuming like smoking, but most of your time is spent waiting, just like smoking. One day the light above your head comes on, you slap your forehead and you wonder why you ever thought it difficult. Then you understand all the chemical reactions that sounded stupid before. Bread to me is the ultimate stress relief these days. Its just fun to play with, and if it sux, throw it away or give it to the birds, its the cheapest thing you can do. Flour , yeast, water. Then you start playing with modifiers.

Just last week I picked up a few unglazed quarry tiles from home depot to try making breads and especially pizza crust.  I couldn't afford a good stone, so I figured I'd give them a try for a few bucks.  My mom always made homemade bread, funny, the smell of bread baking always reminds me of home.  She made an awesome cinnamon bread, if I ever get the recipe, I'll shoot it over to you.
