I'm a complete noobie at smoking but I'd love to learn more! I'm a huge carnivore so it's really exciting.

Oh! I also have a question in general discussion, so any knowledgable pros, please help me out. Thanks!

There are so many choices, so, Aimee, what you gonna do?

I'd like to smoke all sorts of meats. I've always loved the woody flavors from barbecues! I'm a cook and a foodie so I'd love to make yummy meats like my favorite restaurants! :)

Welcome from Canada, Aimee.

This is a great place to learn about smoking. Just type in whatever project you are interested in the search bar and you will get several different methods to choose from.

I suggest you post your first smokes with pictures as you are doing them and you will get advice while you are smoking.

I look forward to your posts.

BTW Aimee,

Disco and a guy named Bearcarver or Bear are two of the best to get ideas and solutions from. They are awesome (lots of others are too but Bear and Disco are, in my opinion, two of the best!)

OMG, I don't know what to say to this. Bear (Bearcarver) is an icon on the sight. My efforts are a pale reflection but thanks for the kind words.

So, I screwed up! (Once again!)

If you ever want the best au jus in the world and lots of other things, listen to Chef JJ!

I think I'll crawl back in my corner but, my point was, ask and guys that really know this world will answer. I have learned a lot from all of them!

Seriously, there are guys and ladies on here that know more than most of us will ever figure out!

Back in my hole! LOL.

:ROTF I couldn't help messing with you Scott. You put out some good chow yourself. Your Venison Fattie is amazing! I am glad you like the Au Jus and keep up the good work...JJ

Thanks JJ, from you that's quite a compliment! Right now I've got spareribs in the smoker experimenting with a Greek Rub and smoke that I saw on this site back in 2012 and on Foods of the World. So far, it smells great but we'll see how it comes out!

Thanks Again,

Scott
