Going away party

I am having a going away party Saturday for my sister in law and need some ideas to feed 9-10 people. Thinking about doing a couple different meats "that's where you guys coume in" and some ABT's

Any ideas would be great, thanks in advance

Tri tips would smoke up good. Spatchcocked chicken. Pork loin, fatties. All of these are easy to make and don't take all day and night to cook.

 

Brisket and pork shoulder if you want to cook all day and night are always crowd pleasers.

 

Smoked Mac n cheese and of course beans make good sides.

Pulled pork is a do a couple a days head meat. That's so you can low and slow it, not worry about when its done. rest well and pull it. Add a little finishing sauce (I like Chef JJ's its totally awesome), and stick it in the fridge. Day of the party, drop the meat in the crock pot, adjust the taste (That means usually more of Chef JJ's finishing sauce), throw out some buns and some slaw and you are not tired, smelly, or  stressed over when it will be done.

 

A little more formal, heat the Pulled pork back up and top a baked potato with it. Little butter and cheese on that tater first, then Pulled pork and some good hot BBQ sauce.

 

That would be my first thought.

 

Turkey would be my second thought, but its too close to Thanksgiving now.

 

You could cure a loin and have loin and fancy crackers for finger foods are needed, but that is about a 2 week ordeal.

 

Whatever you do, I am sure they will love it and appreciate the cook for smoking for them.

 

 

PS:: Only problem, you just hide the pulled pork in the reefer or someone will pick it all gone!

Thanks for the ideas guys! Im definitely goin to Make dutch's baked beans, debating on maybe a bacon wrapped pork loin, or maybe idk so many choices lol. To short on time for the pork butt or else I would, really been wanting to make a brisket but once again would take to long
