We had a nice big sirloin steak that I was trying to think of the best way to cook.  Mrs. Red and I threw together a real tasty dinner with what we had in the fridge.  The steak marinated for a couple hours in her favorite steak marinade.

I cut up the steak while the Mrs. chunked up some veggies we had on hand.

Mrs. Red skewered the meat and veggies while I got the grill hot.  The veggies:  yellow squash, a red bell pepper, and a large yellow onion.  I usually put button mushrooms on here too, but we didn't have any on hand.

I got the grill up to about 450* when these went on.

The kabobs were on the grill for about 4 minutes on each side.  Here's a pic just after they came off.

Plated with a tossed garden salad.

Thanks everyone!  We do kabobs often because they are so fast and easy...and delicious!

Wow Red!!!---Looks Awesome!!!

Beautiful Plate!!!!!!

I like to cut my kabob meat pieces before marinating----Seems to marinate better & faster.

LOL!!  Thanks T&B!  Yep, that's always a hazard of surfin' this forum...it does have the potential to change your menu in a moment's notice...

My grill was a POC Char Broil...and had a bad case of the rusties.  Lynn tried to fix it and it went "poof" and into a rust and pollen dust cloud.

Looking for a good grill right now.  Went and checked prices on Monday...my day off.  Haven't made a decision yet.  Missing it...would love to grill some steaks tonight.

Bad timing, too Kat!  No close-out sale specials this time of year!  I always try to hunt for bargains on grilling/patio gear in the fall when everyone is trying to liquidate their summer inventory.

Usually I do too.....tried to get Hubby to do that last year....but he didn't listen!

$29.99 Weber Smokey Joe Silver

$27-$29 Tamale pot

Best grill / smoker combo you can get! I haven't fired up my $300.00 gas grill in forever!

I am wanting a Weber...so does the Daughter that built the Football one for her Senior Design Project.  Hubby said propane...had to wait so long for coals to get ready before...and I know better now a days.

thanks for the inspiration Red!! marinated the sirloin for 4 hours in mccormacks baja citrus marinade, then onto the skewers. i forgot to add my red onion..ended up smoking the onion whole because it just felt right..haha.

and no end pictures of the end result, they didnt last long, they were actually getting picked at while grilling them. scavengers i tell ya!!!

Looks great, T&B!  We love the way the flavors of the veggies are infused with the steak while it cooks.
