New to the MES

Hello All,

 

    Just received my S/S MES 40 old generation yesterday.I should be getting my AMNPS from Todd Saturday,so hopefully will get this put together and seasoned soon!Can't wait to get started and I know I'll have a ton of questions,this looks like the place to get a lot of answers!

Welcome and from what I have been reading, you made a good choice. I have an all SS model 0311 as well. Love it!...JJ

Thanks for all the replies,my MES came with the smaller chip tray,I don't think I'll call Masterbuilt for the larger one since I have the AMNPS.

I went to Bass Pro last week with a friend to buy the MES 40', when we got it back to his house and got it all setup I noticed there is a metal piece spot welded in the chip loader and the wood box.  Why?  Mine does not have this.  I suggested that we cut it out, but he said to leave it. So he will have less smoke and more times out to reload.

OH Well!

Too many chips is not good.... 1/4 cup at a time... better food, less fires.... "They" read the forum and made a necessary adjustment to their smoker..... Silly engineers..... we know best....... laugh1.gif
