Well,

We did the family meals at two different branches of the family on Thanksgiving so now it's on to our tradition. Since we travel to the relatives on turkey day, we usually stay home and smoke something at our house on the day after. Call it a good reason to stay home and not get in Black Friday traffic (that's my story anyway).

Both daughters requested smoked ham, so ham it is. Sometimes I wonder why when my youngest comes home from college I find the fridge has been raided of smoked meat when she goes back, but I take that as a complement.

No Q-view of the prep as it was a 11.5 pound spiral sliced ham and prep is light the smoker and take out of the bag and there you go....

Will be spritzing with mix of pineapple juice and Maker's Mark (mixed 2 to 1) at the start and on the top of the hour. Will also hit it with a glaze towards the end (yeah, it's the bag that came with the ham, guess I'm tuckered out after all that food and travel yesterday). Smoking over apply chunks in the WSM.

Will post a photo the next time I spritz and when it's done. Chugging along on the Guru at 225*.......

Four and one half hours later it's done.

And of course both daughters decided to go to a movie. I wonder how wise an idea it was to leave the rest of us home, unsupervised with a smoked ham? Guess they will find out later.....

Sure hope there is some left for the youngest to take back to college. Gee honey, I'm not sure what happened. I know it was nearly 12 pounds when I put it in there, but you know how things shrink when you cook them sometimes....
