Hey, The names Cain out of Mesa, AZ. Just received a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker as a gift and am ready to do some smoking! I got it seasoned today and have some baby backs ready to do tomorrow and a turkey to do this weekend. I have browsed through some of the innovative things you guys have done on here and am amazed and hoping I can use my creativity and know-how to help out. I am currently reading the book Smoke & Spice and doing as much internet research as possible. I signed up for the 5 day e-course and cant wait to get started.

Well my fellow Mesan, Let me be the first to welcome you to the SMF!

You got one heck of a gift there! Do you have any smoking or bbq experience at all or are you just getting started? There is a wealth of knowledge on this site and a whole host of experienced smokers who will always be ready to answer any questions you have and to point you in the right direction. 

This forum also loves pics, we call it Q-view here. If you post about a smoke without pics, all I can say is standby for depth charges..

I have been cooking for a long time but new to the whole smoking thing. I have already found tons of helpful tips and tricks and recipes on here in the day i have been a member. Can't wait to jump in!
