my wife has a dozen pint-size ball mason jars in the basement that she doesn't use. she's been trying to pass them off onto some of her freinds without success. i'm trying to find ideas to use them. i've come up with making either homemade bbq sauce and/or salsa and we already make our own homemade spaghetti sauce (we use quart-sized jars for that). anybody have any other ideas for the pint-size jars?

Since there is a bunch of cheap sweet corn locally, I made Corn Relish with it and used up all the pint jars I had. Good stuff!

Pickles! You can give them as gifts. That's one way to get rid of the jars.

you can baked banana bread in them and when theyre done put on lid and ring on while theyre hot.. they seal by them self from the heat. I done this. when i go fishing, i just pick up jar of banana bread or cornbread for breakfast.

Wow what a blast from the past?

Mason jars.  Or the Ball brand?

I thought I was the only one who hoards them.  And the rings and lids.

No end to the uses for them?

Regular mouth and wide mouth.

Nothing we buy comes in glass any more?

Seems they are going the way of the old bushel basket with the wire handles?

But I digress.

Good luck and good smoking.
