Good tip. Green tomatoes are good sliced, breaded and fried. That's what they do with them down here.

Put 'em in a bag with bananas or apples, both release ethylene gas, which turns tomatoes red.

Every time I go to see my Father and Step Mother she wants me to bring her green tomatoes never ripe ones. She puts them in newspaper and into the closet and eats them as they get ripe. The last trip down I took here 20 lbs anywhere from just starting to turn to real green that should hold he a little while
