We shall all rest in peace with a smile on our face for they say were are surely going to die from our smoking and curing. Latest warning about our enjoyable habit. We have been warned but I pledge to continue to the end to damn old to change now.

Both Grandfathers, off the boat from Poland, cured, smoked and ate Hams, Bacon and more Kielbasa than Hillshire Farms! Hey lived into their 90's. The W.H.O. was established in 1948. Smoking meat is more than 500 years older! I will be sticking with Curing and Smoking...JJ
 
the danger of the week!! next year they will tell us that its good for you and something dangerous like carrots or milk are bad for you. idots

My 2 cents I don't think its what we do as much as it is what is done to our meat before we get it the additives in the feed right to up the processing additives.

That is very possible. One Grandfather raised his Hogs, the other was a Pro Butcher into the mid 60's. This was before a lot of the large scale producers added all the crap to get animals bigger, faster and keeping them healthy in tight dirty quarters...JJ

I saw a medical report interview on this report and basically according to this study
if you eat 1 hot dog every day for yourr entire life your risk for colon cancer goes from 5% to 6%.
