New Guy Here

  1. Just finished restoring an old charbroil offset I picked up on Craigslist for 20 bucks. It's small at about 3 feet long with a 1 foot box. Got plans to put a baffle plate in and turn it into a reverse flow. Done two smokes so far. One was a whole brined bird rubbed with some spice and stuffed with garlic onion apple and lemon. The other was a rabbit that was getting too close to my lettuce. The chicken was great, but I'm not sure if rabbit is meant for the smoker (at least not until I get better at this). Looking forward to learning a lot, and maybe one day sharing some things I might pick up along the way.

    Welcome to the forums!  Glad you've joined us.  You've found a great place to learn and share ideas on our favorite pastimes...grilling, smoking, and curing great food!  There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Just ask any time you need help and you'll get plenty!
