Jungle Jim's has their BB's ribs for $2.59/lb. Cyropacked (or vac'd, whatever the term is) in packs of three racks. I picked up a pack of 3 for $20... VERY good deal, just wanted to spread the word to those of you who live near Fairfield (Cincinnati, OH) so that you can get in on this deal.

Spares are also on sale for I think $1.59/lb.

Brisket is less than $1.75/lb too. I wanna say it was $1.29/lb but I'm not 100%.

I was there on Saturday, hopefully the deal is still good!

Smokeyray, you've brought a very interesting topic;shopping. I love to go on the hunt for good meats to prepare. I like K-Mart, Sam's, costco and I also check into the local(smaller) butcher markets. Make a friend of the butcher and secrets begin to reveal themselves. It may take time to find a good market with (not-so-high-priced)meats but it will be worth it in the longrun. Watch circulars and ads for seasonal specials and freeze some for 2-3 mos. or so without damage. IMHO

Almost worth flying to Cincy!! Don't you have a good BBQ spot called the Montgomery Inn or something like that? Had a great meal and an excellent Ashton Toro cigar a few years baxk. I bought some of their Q sauce and it was really good. Kinda vinegary, not the typical Q sauce.

Happy smokin'

Man, 2.59 for BB's is awesome. I do the happy dance when I can get them for 2.99. Regular price here (South Louisiana) is 4.99 and I have seen them as high as 5.99! Great buy!
