Not sure the weight, I asked the butcher for enough for 4 people, I think it was 2 ribs. Took about 6 hours at 225 in my brinkman propane vertical smoker with a needle valve added. I rubbed with lea and perrins thick, coarse ground pepper, kosher salt, garlic and onion powder. I pulled it at 130. Even the left overs were incredible!

When you do your roast, put a pan of beef stock under the roast to pick up smoke and to catch the drippings. When done defat the broth and reduce by 25%. If you are not completely happy with the flavor at that time add some of this to the broth to enhance the flavor. I use it all the time with great success

Definitely do it, I just started smoking this winter. Just keep smoker at 225 and pull at 130. Simple! :)
