Had to try a "Bear Loaf BLT Club" (With some more Shad Roe on the side)

I'll put the contents & steps in the captions of each picture.

    Caution:  The following contains BearViews!!!

Lettuce, Miracle Whip, Kelchner's Horse radish, Tomatoes, Bacon (extra smoky), Bear Loaf, and Shad Roe.

Bacon (extra smoky) --- step by step below in my signature.

Smoked Bear Loaf (all beef) --- step by step below in my signature.

Shad Roe (pan fried) --- step by step below in my signature.

Miracle Whip (or Mayo) on 3 toasted slices of Italian bread. Add lettuce on one slice.

Then a bunch of Bacon on top of the lettuce:

    Then Tomatoes:

Then the middle slice of toast with MW on both sides, more lettuce, and more Bacon:

Then 2 slices of my Bear Loaf.

I skipped the Horse Radish, because I remembered the Bear Loaf is a little hot already:

Close it up with the 3rd slice of toast:

Slice Sammy in half, add extra cherry maters, and a set of Pan Fried Shad Roe on the side.

    Shhhhhh, Don't tell my Doctors!!!!

    Time to Eat !!!

    Looks good Bear!

    Not sure about the roe.

I guess it's an acquired taste.

    What's for dinner?

    Thank You Scott !!

I never did like my toast too dark.

    Thanks Al !!!

You don't have to eat any Shad Roe---I'll find you something else!!  [IMG]

If I didn't know how tasty it is, I probably wouldn't want to try it either.

It looks a lot better after it's fried or broiled than it does raw though, huh??

I don't eat raw Oysters or raw Clams either.

    Thanks Meat !!

I wish I could, but I need the Docs I got.

    Gracias, Mi Amigo!

    LOL---Thanks Rick!

The actual Shad is a lousy tasting fish (IMHO), and far too bony.

However the Shad Roe is Awesome!

It's really hard to explain the taste. I love all kinds of fish, and to me it is better tasting than any fish I have ever eaten.

Next time you catch a few of those Florida Blue Gills, or one of the Florida Bass, near spawning season, try the same thing as I explained in my "Pan-fried Shad Roe" or my "Broiled Shad Roe", in my signature. Blue Gill & LM Bass roe is great too.

Actually Sucker Roe is my favorite.

That's one fine looking sammie Bear!  You have inspired me to make some bear loaf now.  Maybe this will be on the list for this weekend.  Looks awesome!
  12. Heart attack on a plate! Which means "That looks fantastic!"

My dad loved mullet roe and I'm guessing it's similar to eggs are fish eggs!

Thanks for sharing that when I'm dieting. [IMG]

However you should know, next time I will be making half as much, in 2 pans, or at the most enough for 3 pans.

Four 9" X 12" pan sizes was too much for my MES 40. Two on one shelf stopped much of the air flow. through the smoker.

Thought you should know that, in case you use your MES 40.

    Thank You,

I have plenty of Bacon & Bear Loaf, and my maters are accelerating in production this week!

I only have one set of Shad Roe left, but I would gladly split it with you!

    Thank You Bassman!!

I would eat that................ nice sammie bear.......................[IMG]
  16. That's a fine looking sandwich you got there. I wouldn't mind having that for lunch today. Except for the Miracle whip, I hate that stuff. Substitute for homemade mayo and we're in business. Have a great day my friend.

    Thanks Chad!

Never had Mullet roe, but I'd bet I'd like it !!

Some fish eggs are no good to eat this way, like Salmon eggs---Good bait though!  [IMG]

    Diet?  Thanks for the reminder.

    Thanks Gros!!!

LOL-----I know all about the Mayo/MW thing.

Until our Son got his own house, we had to keep both in our fridge. He took his Mayo with him.

Mrs Bear likes MW more. I don't hate Mayo----just like MW more.

That makes it easy---Only need one jar in our fridge now.

    Thanks Roller!!!

LOL---I tend to be a little "Bacon Heavy" now & then & always.

You'd love the roe---I'd lay odds on it.
