As tubes for sausage stuffers

  1. Hi all

I just got a gander mountain sausage stuffer. I haven't used it yet. However I have used meat grinders that have tubes similar to these.
I was wondering if anyone knew where I might get ss tubes instead of the tapered plastic ones that came with it. I've found with my grinder that you can get a lot more casing on a straight tube.

    Thanks.

  2. I ordered the gander mountain 5lb stuffer and am expecting it early next week. I read in another thread that the LEM tubes will fit. I will post the link if I can find the thread again.

The Gander Mountain, LEM, Kitchener, Cabela's and pretty much all the other 5 pounds models should use tubes with 1 9/16" diameter bases.  There are plenty of stainless ones available from various makers.  The LEM 5 pound models will work on the other stuffers, and others can be found on Amazon eBay or at several sausage making supply websites.

  4. Thanks for the info. I'll see what I can find. I'm excited to try this instead of stuffing with my grinder.
