Newbie to smoking and this was the 2nd smoke we did. Pork butt at 250 for 17.5 hours. We are now onto one month in and learning new things every smoke. TFL -K
Has anybody used a pellet smoker PID control on an ALL ELECTRIC (on pellets) smoker. I was wondering if the pellet smoker PID control would (tune itself) to operate an ALL ELECTRIC (no pellets) smoker. I want to update to a WiFi control with built in meat probe. Everything I have found is a pellet smoker PID. All I need is on/off but can't find it with WiFi.
Hey from Naples Fl. MES 40, the bones are good, it's big enough, but the controller is shot, again. I want to start over and do an electrical rebuild. It's too hard to find it, but I know someone has done a build sheet on one of these using a PID and quality wire and connectors. Can anyone help me here?
Masterbuilt MB20075118, controller 9907170122. No heat. New element, bypassed overheat sensor, all controller lights function, heater light blinks off immediately. Would like to upgrade everything.

I'm sure this has been asked a time or two, but interested in a used offset smoker with solid thick walled construction for backyard use. Maybe in the $2000-3000 range. Has to be something that draws and holds temps well. Where would yall start looking. Thanks for your time and tips.
