i just cut down two pecan trees for people in my neighborhood and wanted to know how long to let it dry out before i smoke with it. also what is the best way to stack it all to dry .keep in mind i now have alot of wood .

Split the larger logs and stack it off the ground.

6 months should be a good starting point for drying. The ends of the splits and smaller logs should start to crack when it's dry.
