Good morning. Guess I broke protocol and made this my second post but my name is Matt not a DR initials just so happen to be MD. I purchased a WMD (wep of mass destruction) I mean a WSM 18.5" on 5Jul13 currently sitting outside with the dogs (vizslas) waiting for it to heat up for a nice 5.75 Boston butt for PP tonight.
I have been in the Navy ever since I graduated in 2005 guess that puts me around 27 now. I am a Machinist Mate have served on the USS John F Kennedy big ole 1200PSI steam plant and the USS Carl Vinson which is nuclear powered and now on shore duty. Both are aircraft carriers and I slave away down in the pit or engine room/main machinery rooms working on the lube oil systems, potable water, propulsion, electrical generators etc. guess that's all therm is at 215 so it's close to that time.

Hello Matt and welcome to the fun.  No protocol broken.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  The trial and error method works well.  We will try to help you keep the errors to a minimum since we already made them for you.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

If you didn't read the Terms of Service notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums.
